'I'm passionate about educational research that makes a difference, and my goal is to understand and improve how it's used in practice.
As a researcher, I strive to integrate the relational with the conceptual, and to approach research communication as part of research conduct.
I enjoy initiatives that bring different players together to address big-picture challenges. The Q project, for example, will involve practitioners, policy-makers, researchers and research brokers. Here, they'll collaborate to improve the use of research evidence in Australian schools.
To date, the highlight of my career has been the people - the many wise students, educators, decision-makers and researchers I've had the pleasure of working with over the years.'
